He discovered skiing at an early age, thanks to his parents, and was quickly attracted to the sport at a high level. A former ski jumper, he made a name for himself by winning the title of French champion and achieving results including 8th place in the Junior World Championships, several podium finishes in OPA (FIS), and several top 15 finishes in the European Cup.
Specialising in downhill skiing, Mathis stands out for his technical and dynamic approach, which he puts to good use for his students. His favourite piste is Montagne Russe, which he sees as a real playground for skiers of all abilities. With his BE Sportif de Haut Niveau, Mathis has been able to combine his competitive skills with his passion for teaching.
Away from the snow, Mathis leads an active and varied life. In the summer, he works as a carpenter, and during the year, he enjoys a wide range of sports, including hockey, motorcycling, football and padel... and, of course, he loves a good drink with his friends!
