Laurent grew up in Antibes and Courchevel in a family of seasonal workers. From an early age, he took up skiing at the Club des Sports and excelled in ski jumping, winning two Savoie championship titles and a runner-up title in France.

Off the slopes, Laurent is an expert in plumbing, gardening and classical cooking. A one-time restaurateur, he loves sport and going out with friends. 

His nickname? Mickey, but you'll have to ask him why!
